End suction fire pump
LIFECO pumps undergo the required inspection, tests and production control during the assembly process and records are kept for the same, before they are delivered to our customers. Each pump is produced, and subjected to performance tests as follows:
a) Test run
performance curves plotted showing efficiency, brake force (kW), and total head developed at shutdown, at rated capacity, at 150 percent of rated capacity, And at selected intermediate capacities between closing and maximum capacities exceeding 150% of the rated capacity.
b) Hydrostatic Test
Each pump shall be hydrostatically tested for a minimum of 5 minutes. The test pressure shall be up to two times
the maximum working pressure of the pump, but in no case less than 250 psi (1724 kPa) to ensure that there is no
rupture or leakage through the castings at the test pressure.
c) Motor Balance
The impellers of each pump are dynamically balanced with a balance quality grade of G6.3 accordingly
with the requirements for the pumps impellers in the Mechanical Vibration Standard – Balance Quality
